Trio of Knights push Wenatchee past Centralia 77-72

Centralia, WA- Coming into the matchup with Crossover-host Centralia College, coach Jeremy Harden knew the Blazers size down low would prove a key factor in whether his club would be successful or not.  He couldn't have been more right, and his Knights were up to the task as they battled on the glass on the way to a 77-72 victory.

Chance Michels led the scoring charge for Wenatchee with 20 points, the majority of which came from behind the arc. Jaylin Walker proved a tough cover, knocking in 25 points for the Blazers and keeping the result in doubt for the Knights all evening.

The story was truly written down low in this one though, as Isaac Jones and Nick Hopkins dominated the glass, gathering 12 and 13 boards each, respectively.  Each had a double-double, with Jones a perfect 6-of-6 from the field, finishing with 14 points.  Hopkins work tallied him an even 13 points and 13 rebounds coming off the bench.

The Knights will round out the Crossover today in Centralia versus Lane Community College, and head into conference play starting just after the holiday break as they host east region foe Columbia Basin to begin the conference slate.
