Malik Parsons

Malik Parsons

Malik Parsons, a sophomore men's basketball player from San Diego, CA, is the focus of the Knight Spotlight.

Parsons came to Wenatchee from Lincoln High School in San Diego, and simply took the NWAC by storm, scoring at will and delivering notice that the Knights would be a team to reckon with during his tenure.

Parsons led all NWAC scorers with 27.5 points per game in 2018-19 en route to being named Freshman of the Year.

After listening to transfer offers following his phenomenal freshman campaign, Malik returned this season and has led the Knights team to an impressive 22-5 record and a seed in the postseason for its second trip in as many seasons.

Parsons has averaged 21.6 points per game in 2020, and recently became the all-time leading scorer in WVC men's basketball history, surpassing Hall of Famer Byron Williams, who had 1,189 points in two seasons in the late 1970's for the Knights.

Parsons will continue to add to his all-time scoring mark as the Knights close out their season and head into the postseason in March.
